The largest conference of Business Systems Analysts in the region, this year, was held in Belgrade, at the Falkensteiner Hotel, October 11th and 12th.  BBA2019 (Balkan Business Analysis) Conference, brought together business analysts from across the Balkans and beyond, and organized 4 regional chapters: IIBA Serbia, IIBA Romania, IIBA Bulgaria and IIBA Slovenia.

We had our representative, our colleague Marina Stanicic, who gave a presentation on the topic: “The role of Business Systems Analyst in the Digital Transformation Era”. The first part of the presentation was a lecture where Marina, as Business Systems Analyst and Certified Digital Transformation Consultant, compared these two roles, pointing out similarities and differences, after which she presented a program within the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, where she also received a certificate. Afterwards, Marina held a workshop, whose topic was a consultative approach to the digital transformation of a company, but through two methods, from the client’s point of view and from the point of view of the consultant. 40 business analysts divided into 4 groups, worked 2 methods on the example firm (SWOT and Risk management). Finally, the results of the methods were commented on and compared with other groups, and as a solution each group had a strategy.
