After a great last year’s experience, we decided to support the fourth consecutive ITkonekt with gold sponsorship, both IT conference and IT jobfair this year.

The first day of the conference our CEO, Nebojsa Bjelotomic, participated in a panel discussion on the topic of Challenges and Opportunities of IT Industry in Serbia. Nebojša and his interlocutors from 3AP, Levi9 and Endava shared their views on this topic.

After a few months of retraining, can we get quality developers? What do you need to do regarding education in our country in order to get capable personnel to work? How much is education at faculties related to the real situation in the economy? Are companies more and more often confronted with brain drain? What is a better ground for learning and advancement in IT industry, services or products? How much is Serbia a powerful IT country? On those and many other questions, the participants of this panel, including Nebojša, gave answers and shared their opinions and experiences with the audience, which you can hear and see on the following LINK.

On the second day of the conference, the presentation on the topic Automatic software testing using Spring technology was held by our colleagues: Nikola Ninovic, Director of Java Middleware Department and Marija Milcic, programmer from the same sector. The lecture was about the reasons for the popularity of the Java programming language and Spring as its best framework.

The main focus was on automatic tests and how they help us improve the quality of the software we are developing. In order not to left everything only on the story, we also had a live demo and we put theory into practice, and provided visitors the opportunity to see how it really works.

Both days of ITkonekt visitors od IT Jobfair could go to our stand and learn more about our business, as well as about the current open positions. Our employees were available and open for all questions, and visitors enjoyed in the company of our colleagues, with the ice cream and photographs, which they took for memory.

ITkonekt in Belgrade this year was held on April 14th and 15th at Hotel Metropol. For the fourth year in a row, the whole IT scene was gathered in one place. The IT jobfair presented the most desirable employers in the IT industry. At the IT conference were presented great global experts in JavaScript, CSS, Angulara, .NET, Java and other technologies.
